The Florida Sons/Suns Volleyball Club is a youth non-profit organization founded in 2005.  Our organization is  made up of young men, from the ages 10 though 18, and new for this 2008/2009 season, girls age groups 10s, 12s and possibly 15s. Our players travel from a variety of distances from Southern Dade to Palm Beach and everywhere in between.

Our program has gained wide recognition in South Florida and in the Nation in a very short period of time, recently receiving an award from the Florida Region of the USAV for most improved Club in Florida for 2007/2008 season.
 
During the 2005/2006 season, our first season, our 17s team tied for 5th place in Club division also placing one of our players on the all-tournament team.

During the 2006/2007 season, the Florida Sons/Suns 18s open team won the Silver Medal in the Southern California Invitational and East Coast Championships and took home a tie for 10th in the National tournament at the Junior National Olympics Open Division in Atlanta, Georgia.  No Florida team had ever even won a game in the open division prior to this.

The 2007/2008 season has been filled with exciting competition!  Over the Memorial Day weekend we participated in the East Coast Boys Invitational Championship in Richmond, VA with three of our 5 teams, the "15s", "16s", and "18s".  Our 15's and 16's teams each won Silver Medals for their respective divisions. The 16's team also won a Bid to play in the Open Division at the Junior Olympics in Sandy City, Utah.

During the 2007/2008 season, our teams at the Florida Regional Tournament in Orlando captured 3 Golds and 1 Silver.  At the Junior National Tournament in Utah, our 17s team tied for 3rd in the nation placing 2 of our players on the all-tournament team.
