Athletes Expectations of Coaches
1. The Coach must be aware that he/she serves as a model in the education of the athlete
and will never place winning above the value of character building.
2. The Coach will uphold the honor and dignity of the coaching profession in all personal contact with athletes,
parents, officials, the media and the public. Setting the example of the highest ethical and moral conduct.
3. The Coach shall support and enforce RULES for prevention of drug, alcohol and tobacco
use and abuse, and will not allow the use of these substances.

The Coach will promote the program of the Florida Sons VBC and will be in harmony with USA Volleyball program and AAU Sports
program.
5. The Coach will be IMPACT certified for USA Volleyball
and AAU sports and shall abide by these rules at all times. They are responsible to interpret these rules to the athletes.
6. The Coach shall promote sportsmanship to all parents, athletes and spectators.
7. The Coach wiil respect contest officials, and will not display or incite disrespect
or public criticism of contest officials.
8. The Coach will
teach and educate all athletes of the sport according to the rules of the sport and will be responsible to educate the parents
in developing a positive competitive environment.
9. The
Coach is to promote athletes educational goals and becoming attractive and competitive in the collegiate arena.
10.The Coach maintains the highest standards of ethics, conducting him/herself in a
manner befitting his/her responsibilities, and developing a rapport with the community that will improve the entire club volleyball
program.
Remedies and recourse: GRIEVANCE POLICY
The philosophy
of FSVBC is to encourage open communication between players, parents and coaches. However, grievance arises no matter how
small, the following steps is implemented to resolve any issues.
1.
Athlete discuss the grievance with their parents
2. Athlete approach the coach to discuss the issue to be resolved, Athlete
talks to their parents regarding the meeting with the coach
3. Athlete and parents meet with the coach to discuss the
issue
4. Athlete, parent and coach will approach the Club Director to resolve the grievance
5. The Club Director
will address the grievance to the Board and the decision reached by the Board will be honored by all parties
DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS:
1. DROPPING OR SUSPENDING A PLAYER:
A. LACK
OF COMMITMENT BY MISSING TOO MANY PRACTICES AND/OR TOURNAMENTS
B. POOR SPORTSMANSHIP OR A LACK OF RESPECT FOR AUTHORITY
C. POOR
ATTITUDE, LACK OF EFFORT, DISRUPTIONS AND OR DISHONESTY
2. ANY PLAYER ENGAGING IN MISCONDUCT WILL BE IMMEDIATELY
REMOVED FROM HIS / HER TEAM AND SENT HOME AT THE EXPENSE OF THE PARENTS.
