PARENT/GUARDIAN TIME COMMITMENT & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Parent/Guardian participation is essential. Parents are responsible for the following:

 

  1. Transportation To and From practices ON TIME
  2. Transportation To and From Tournaments 10s 11s 12s 13s 14s or when there is no transportation allocated in the budget for that tournament.
  3. Food, Water, Power Bars, and nutritional lunches (fruits and nutritional snacks) for one day tournaments
  4. Hotel reservations for themselves if they plan attending longer than one day tournaments. The club has a Travel Coordinator to arrange all travel for teams, coaches and chaperone's. Parent may get the individual team travel and hotel accommodations from their team Administrator.

 

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PARENTS

 

Provide your child with the support that he/she needs to uphold the commitment made to FSVBC

Ensure that the financial obligations to the FSVBC are fully met in a prompt manner

Understand that all communications to the coach concerning their child’s practices, playing time, playing position, relationship with the coach and players and overall performance is to be done by the child first and not by parents, or guardians

Parents will conduct themselves at all FSVBC functions and events in a manner that provides an appropriate role model for their child and their teammates in terms of good sportsmanship, respect for authority and concern for others

 

The 24 hour rule means that Parents CANNOT approach a coach at a tournament about a coaching complaint, must wait 24 hours before contacting the coach .You may however contact the Director, Jim McHugh at any time, the 24 hour rule does not apply to the Director
